Recently, winning projects of the 8th Architectural Creation Award from the Architectural Society Of Shanghai was announced. Shanghai HuaDu Architecture and Urban Design Group (HDD) has three award-winning projects. Among them, Mulan Weichang Visitor Center won the “Excellence Award”, while the Zouping Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Children’s Bamboo Community Library won the “Nomination Award”.

The Architectural Creation Award was established in 2006 by the Architectural Society Of Shanghai, and is awarded once every two years. The award focuses on the overall architectural quality centering on design value, and promotes technical progress and artistic expression of the whole industry. Nominated projects were evaluated by 38 authoritative experts from the field of planning, municipal, construction, interior and environmental design. This year, a total of 788 projects from 88 institutions participated in the competition. Numerous leading architectural design firms nation-wide have participated in the competition, making the award widely recognized by the industry.
