It described the hotel as an excellent example “paying homage to both landscape and architecture”.

Sunrise Kempinski Hotel designed by HDD, is known as the main venue for APEC in Beijing 2014 and also G20 conferences.

Located in Yanqi Lake in the suburb of Beijing, it reflects surounding mountains, water and the sky with the surface made of 10000 pieces of glass.
