Asia, as a giant land constituted by various areas
distinctive in language, culture and religion, does its cities have
similarities and can be compared? Where to begin if we are to compare famous
cities in Asia? In the subject to last issue, we categorized Asia cities
according to economy and region, discovered their network of “flow”, and then
did comparative study among the same category. For Asia, each country’s
“Five-year Planning” is also a common starter to look more precisely into the
high-profile “Asia Issues” such as uneven development among regions, the
formation and resolution to urban slum, the allocation of infrastructure and
urban density. Based on such comparative study from various levels, we provided
a reasonable basis and perspective for viewing Asia cities.
