On the afternoon of November 6th, Jiang Yi, Deputy Chief Engineer in Water Supply and Drainage of HuaDu Architecture and Urban Design Group (HDD), shared his understanding of the "Interim Provisions on the Administration of Fire Protection Design Review and Final Inspection of Construction Projects" issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, with HDD designers of various professions. This regulation that became effective on June 1st, 2020 is based on the expired "Provisions on the Supervision and Administration of Fire Protection of Construction Projects" (Order No. 106 of the Ministry of Public Security), amending management details and clarifying the responsibilities of construction contractors and other matters. Jiang further discussed the common problems in design practice when dealing with this regulation.

Starting from the background of the newly issued "Interim Provisions", Jiang pointed out changes in review and final inspection processes, practical details, project workflow, rules and document format. He also explained the new regulation in detail in terms of its scope of application, special construction projects, core obligations, design review and final inspection.
