On the afternoon of April 25th, the HDD Chief Engineer Office organized an internal seminar as a part of the HDD Lecture series, in which Chief Engineer ZHANG Yi spoke on the topic of “Exploring and Practicing ‘Fully Digitalized’ Design”. The seminar began by discussing the idea of digital creativity in architectural design and its development over time, and went on to introduce the characteristics and prospects of “fully digitalized” design. Zhang also shared his preliminary practice in automated architectural drawing generation, highlighting the significance of digitalization in the architecture design industry.

In his lecture, Zhang introduced AI-powered computer vision applications in the field of engineering design, showcasing its broad prospects in architecture. He also shared case studies of exploratory practices under the idea of “fully digitalized” design, indicating the impact and advantages of digitalization in architecture.

In the discussion session, HDD designers further delved into the topics of digitalization and computer vision, in which Chief Architect SHEN Yi and Chief Structural Engineer ZHOU Zhen provided insightful opinions on AI-powered architectural design, digital asset management, and other topics related to computer vision.

To conclude, Zhang called on designers to pay closer attention to digitalization in the architectural industry, by embracing digital management and collaboration throughout the design process, and engaging in the innovative practices of architectural digitalization.
