On July 24th, Dr. Hussain Bhuyan, the Director of International Affairs at Shanghai HuaDu Architecture & Urban Design Co., Ltd. (HDD) and the Secretary-General of the China-Bangladesh Friendship Association, was invited to attend the 5th China-South Asia Cooperation Forum, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Yunnan Province. He also granted an exclusive interview to China Central Television (CCTV).
The forum, held in Kunming under the theme “Fostering Consensus and Promoting Regional Development,” saw the esteemed presence of key figures such as H.E. Mr. Wang Yubo, Deputy Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Yunnan Province, H.E. Ms. Sun Haiyan, Deputy Minister of the CCP’s International Liaison Department and H.E. Mr. Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. They delivered keynote speeches at the opening ceremony.

Dr. Hussain Bhuyan delivered a speech on “Strengthening Cultural Exchanges for Better People-to-People Connectivity” He emphasized that as the process of globalization accelerates, the connections between countries are becoming increasingly close. However, economic and political cooperation is just the tip of the iceberg.What truly consolidates the foundation of international cooperation is cultural exchange and people-to-people connectivity.
As the Secretary-General of the China-Bangladesh Friendship Association,Dr. Hussain Bhuyan has witnessed the fruitful achievements in various fields of cooperation between Bangladesh and China. He calls on governments, institutions, and all sectors of society to actively promote cultural exchange, enhance mutual understanding, and jointly build a harmonious and inclusive international community.
