Shanghai HuaDu Architecture & Urban Design Co., Ltd. (HDD) recently welcomed a high-level delegation from Jolshiri Abashon, Bangladesh, to its Shanghai headquarters. The two parties held in-depth discussions on global architectural design trends, cross-cultural project practices, and future directions for collaboration.

Accompanied throughout the visit by Dr. Bhuyan Muhammad Hussain,the Director of International Affairs at HDD, the delegation began with a tour of HDD's Project Achievement Exhibition Center and Hall of Honors. Using architectural models and project display boards, Dr. Hussain Bhuyan presented a comprehensive overview of HDD's practice under its design philosophy of “Locality and Global Synergy.” From historic preservation projects in the United States to landmark developments in the Guangdong–Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone, he highlighted HDD's capabilities in sustainable architectural technologies and the contemporary interpretation of regional cultural symbols—demonstrating the firm's expertise in creating urban landmarks that embody both functional value and cultural significance across diverse contexts.

Regarding the jointly prioritized Jolshiri Abashon Central Business District (CBD) project, HDD's design team delivered a dedicated technical presentation centered on the concept of “Water Droplets and Ripples,” inspired by local aquatic forms. The presentation covered key dimensions such as efficient planning for high-density urban environments, innovative applications of local materials, and the contemporary translation of regional aesthetic language. The team's forward-looking design vision, rigorous technical methodology, and deep cultural understanding of Bangladesh received strong recognition and unanimous praise from the visiting delegation.

In acknowledgment of HDD's outstanding contributions to sustainable urban development in Bangladesh, the Jolshiri Abashon delegation awarded HDD the Jolshiri Abashon Honorary Cooperation Certificate and presented a customized commemorative gift.
